Services for John Frederick Christman, Jr., 76, of Lebanon, Ind., formerly of South Bend, who died at 3:55 p.m. Friday in Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Myers Mortuary, Lebanon.

Entombment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p. Tuesday in the Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Boone County Heart Fund or Lebanon First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Christman was currently the secretary-treasurer of the Pinnell, Metzger & Coombs Corp. in Lebanon. He became a CPA in 1956 having been issued Certificate 1767 and had operated Dincolo & Christman, CPA, South Bend , for 25 years.

He was born Feb. 8, 1913 in South Bend, moving to Lebanon in 1971.

In 1938, in South Bend, he married Rosemonde Seebirt, who died in 1947. (sic - at age 47

He then married Dorothy Overlease, who died in 1970.

Then on July 30, 1971, in Winamac, he married Laura Louise Metzger McCutchan. She survives along with a daughter, Lucy Gonas of Mobile Ala.; a stepdaughter, Brenda Constantine of Indianapolis; a son, John Frederick III of South Bend; a stepson, Jack McCutchan of Lebanon; three grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.

Mr. Christman for 25 years was the accountant and financial advisor to Junior League of South Bend. he served as financial advisor and chairman to St. Joseph County Young Republicans. He was a board member of Weather Seal Inc., Dura Mold Casting Corp., Garvey Pattern Inc., Nelson Engineering & Sales Co., Vrsal Inc. and Karl Welds Inc.

He was a member of American Institute of CPAs, Indiana Society of CPAs, First Presbyterian Church, Lake Maxinkuckee Association, Ulen Country Club and South Bend Country Club.

He was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and attended DePauw and Notre Dame Universities. He had been employed at Bendix Corp., South Bend Woodworking Co., Willett & Wharton accounting firm and was head teller and installment officer at National Bank & Trust Co. of South Bend.
