    William Moyer "Bill" Wagner, 91, a lifelong farmer from Star City, IN passed away at 3:30 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.

    Bill was born on June 22, 1926 in Logansport, IN to the late Donald and Flossie Moyer Wagner.

    He graduated from Star City High School in 1944.

    Bill enlisted in the US Army and served as a Medic during WWII.

    On April 4, 1948, he married Geneva Marie Daily at Star City United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2011.

    Bill was a member of the Star City United Methodist Church.

    Bill was an accomplished jazz trumpeter and was a longtime member of the Melotones (a four piece combo).

    He was a member of the Winamac American Legion and played Taps for numerous Veteran's funerals.

    He enjoyed photography, dancing and traveling with his wife. The couple spent many winters in Palmetto, FL.

    Visitation will be from 12:30 PM ? 2:00 PM EDT Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

    Services will be held at 2:00 PM EDT Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN with Rev. David Broad officiating.

    Burial will take place at Star City West Cemetery in Star City, IN. The American Legion and VFW will conduct Military Graveside Services.

    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Star City West Cemetery.

    Arrangements have been entrusted to Frain Mortuary in Winamac, IN.

    Geneva Marie Wagner, 85, of Star City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver, Indiana.

    Survivors include her husband of 63 years, William Moyer Wagner; brother Darl Clifford (Merna) Daily of Kewanna; son Richard Alan (Marilyn) Wagner of Knox; daughter Jean Ann (Bill) King of Culver; daughter-in-law Mary Ellen Wagner of Winamac; five grandsons, Don (Cheri) Wagner, Jason (Tina) Wagner, Andy (Apryl) Wagner, Ryan (Priscila) Wagner, and David Wagner; and three great grandchildren, Eva, Lila and Thomas.

    Preceding her in death were her parents Ernest Leroy Daily and Alta Mae (Erwin) Daily; brother, Neil Owen (Sherry) Daily; and son Thomas Merrill Wagner.

    Mrs. Wagner was born at home in Thornhope, Indiana, March 6, 1926, graduated from Star City High School in 1944, and later earned a teaching degree in Home Economics and Business from Ball State Teachers College.

    She married on April 4, 1948, at Star City Methodist Church.

    Her teaching career included Pulaski, Star City and Winamac schools. Retirement came after 17 years in 1976.

    Since retirement, Geneva enjoyed winters in Palmetto, Florida, traveling with her husband, ballroom dancing, reading, and cooking.

    Visitation will be at Frain Mortuary, Winamac, Indiana, Tuesday, November 29 from 3-8 p.m. EST with private services held later.

    Burial will be at Star City West Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
