Dennis James Fleming

Dennis James Fleming. 72 years of age, peacefully passed away in his home on April 30, 2022.

Dennis was born on April 19, 1950, in Chicago Heights, IL to James and June Fleming of Glenwood, IL.

Graduated from Bloom High School in 1968 and went on to play football for the University of Illinois I

Dennis married Barabara Jean Gohl on May 26, 1973, lived and raised their family in Chicago Heights, IL

In 1999, Dennis and Barbara moved to Culver. IN to enjoy life living on Lake Maxinkuckee.

Dennis was an all-around athlete who loved playing football, basketball, baseball, hockey and last but not least GOLF. He looked forward to taking his family on snow-ski trips every year.

Dennis also loved to water-ski, sail, bike, and take evening boat rides around the lake. He was involved in his church and loved to help in any way. Dennis had a huge heart and an unforgettable smile. He was a loving, loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Dennis is survived by his loving family, including his wife Barbara Fleming, daughters Jean E. (John B) Overmyer, Kelly (Anthony) Sellers. Also his sisters, Susan(Earl) Childs and Jill (Alan) Cislak. Dennis is also survived by his grandchildren, Alissa. Brianna and Luci Overmyer, Brandon, Brooklyn, Sally and Greta Sellers Visitation will be held on June 4, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Culver from 11:00am - 12:30 p.m. with a short service at 12:30pm.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking to conside donating to Trinity Lutheran Church 430 Academy Road, Culver, IN 46511 and/or to the Culver Communit Middle/High School Athletic Fund, 701 School St Culver, IN 46511
