Perry MOON, 81, prominent Logansport businessman and former resident of Fulton county, died at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital, Logansport. He had been seriously ill the past few weeks.

Mr. Moon was engaged in the roofing business and was also a partner in the Moon, Lowe and David hardware store in Logansport. He retired from active business duties a few years ago and spent most of the summer months at is cottage on Lake Maxinkuckee.

Born August 8, 1872 in Fulton county, he was the son of George and Jane (MILLISER) MOON. His wife, Lily (YOUNG) MOON died January 5 of this year. Mr. Moon was a member of the Logansport Broadway Methodist church and the Elks Lodge.

Survivors are five brothers, Charles [MOON], Rochester; William and Jacob [MOON], Kewanna; Samuel [MOON], South Bend and Frank [MOON], Leiters Ford; two sisters, Mrs. Ida ROUCH, Fulton and Clara YELTON, South Bend. Miss Ruth CLAYTON of this city is a niece of the deceased.

Death Comes to Retired Logansport Businessman at Memorial Hospital

Perry Moon, 81, prominent Logansport business mand died at 4:40 o'clokc in Memorial hospital following a short illness. Her entered the hosppital last Thrusday

For many years, Mr Moon was engaged in the roofing business and was at one time a partner in the hardware firm of Moon, Loe and David. Mr. Ralph David later purchased the interest of Mr. Moon and Charles Lowe in the hardware which is now the David Hardware and electrical store.

since his retirement from active business Mr. Moon has devoted his time to his farm in Fyulton county and spent his summers at his cottage at Lake Maxkinkucee. His residence is at 142 Eel River Avenue.

He was born August 3, 1872 in Fulton county, and was the son of George and Jane (Milleser) Moon. His wife, Lilly died January 5 of this year.

Survivors are five brothers, Charles of Rochester, William and Jacob of Kewanna, Samuel of South Bend, and Frank of Leiters Ford; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Rouch, of Fullton and Clara Yelton of South Bend. His wife passed away last winter while she and Mr. Moon were in Flordia.

Mr. Moon belonged to the Broadway Methodist Chruch and the elks lodge

Rochester friends have received word of the death of Mrs. Perry MOON, Logansport, which occurred suddenly in St. Petersburg, Fla., Monday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon in Logansport.

Lille Moon Succumbs to Heart Attack

Wife of Perry Moon of This City Expired in Hospital at St. Petersbug Fla.

Mrs. Lillie ZMoon, 79, wife of Perry Moon, 142 Eel River avenue, will known retired local business man, died at 6 o'clock Monday evening in a hospital at St. Pertersburg, Fla., according to information received by her brother Frank YOung, of near Burnettsville

Mrs. Moon suffered a heart attack Friday evening at their cottage in St. Petersburg and was removed to the hospital. She and her husband who have wintered in FLordia in recent years had left here on Dec. 15 for St Petersburg

The deceased was born Aug. 14 1873 in Fulton county to Marion and Isabelle Pence Young.

She and her husband resided in Peru for a short time following their marriage more than fifty years ago, but have resided in Logansport most of the time since the.

Her husband formerly, was in the roofing busines with Frank Young and in the hardware business with Charles Lowe and Ralph David.

She was a member of the Broadway Methodist church and the Mental Culture Club.

Surviviers are the husband, the brother and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Richardson Berkley, Calif and Mrs. Myrtle BAker Napa, Calif.
