Long Point

1922-1939 1953-61 - Roy Koffel

1922 - Mar 8 - Arthur Sturegon of Logansport is putting in the foundations for a lake cotttage on Long Point, south of the Duenweg cottage for Dr. Koffel of Logansport.

1922- Mar 26 - Build Cottage at Lake Maxinkuckee Roy Koffel, local chiropractor, has let a contract to Will Obenchain, local carpenter contractor, for the construction of a cottage at Lake Maxinkuckee. The cottage will be built on Long Point adjoining the lot on which the Perry Moon cottage is located - Logansport Press, Sunday

1929 - - May 1 - Burning Leaves Threaten cottages on Long Point

A cartaker burning leaves in the front of the Koffel cottahe on Long Pouint Saturday let the fire get away from him with the result that 250 feet of the bluff along the lake front was burned and a call was made for the fire department. Two piers stairs were partially purned and part of one pier destroyed. The fire for a time treatened to catch the Duenweg cottage which would of have burned at least three others on account of the strong wind.

2007 - They are completely redoing this cottage inside and out by the looks of construction going on, from view of the road.
