    Boyd E. McKinney, 78, Indianapolis, died Nov. 23.

    He was owner of McKinney ENgineering Sales, retieing in 1990.

    Previously, he was a vice president of sales and assistant general manager of Brookside Crop. and was a member of two official Indiana state trade missions to RUrope and the far East.

    He also worked in engineering for Republican Aviation COrp and Allison Transmission Diision of General Motors Crop.

    He was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge and Sottish Rite.

    A Navy Air Corps veteran, he served in World War II. He completed a Navy program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in aircraft engine design and maintenance and was a private piolt more than 30 years.

    A member of Delta Tau Delta, he was a 1942 graduate of Duke University.

    Services: 11 a.m. Nov. 29th Merifian Street United Methodist Church, of which he was a member.

    Jane Scarff McKinney 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 29, 2016. Jane was born in New Carlisle, Ohio to the late Ina and Max Scarff.

    Jane attended Purdue University graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in nutrition. While at Purdue s he served as president of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

    Jane moved to Indianapolis in 1948 after marrying the late Boyd McKinney.

    Jane served in leadership roles with the Children's Museum Guild, Stansfield Circle and various other civic and charitable organizations. After gaining a masters degree from IU in the late 60's, she began a second career as a food broker and also taught nutrition at IUPUI. Twice, she was elected president of the American Dietetic Association.

    She and her husband Boyd also served on the Purdue Alumni board and were longtime members of Meridian Street Methodist Church. Jane enjoyed cooking, entertaining, golf, travelling and Purdue football.

    She split her time between Indianapolis and Lake Maxincuckee in Culver, Indiana.

    Most of all, Jane was known for her energy, her wonderful meals and her love of family.

    Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd McKinney, her parents, Ina and Max Scarff , and her sisters Mary Ellen Martin and Nancy Baker.

    Jane is survived by her children: Sarah Cantwell, Betsy (Mike) Feldmann and Todd (Becky) McKinney, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Phyllis Milliken and Maxine Schildknecht.

    The family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at Sunrise at Old Meridian for the loving care extended to their mother.

    A private family service will be held at a later date.
