    Raymond O. Gass, 87, of 960 West Shore Drive, died Wednesday afternoon in his home following a three-month illness.

    He was b orn Dec. 20, 1895, in Decatur, Ind., and moves tro Culver 39 years ago.

    On June 8, 1920 in Monterey he married Helena Keller. She survies with four daughters: Mrs. Joseph (Jane) Stoffell of Shelbyville, Ky.; Mrs. Robert (Norma) Melton of North Manchester and Miss Mary Gass and Miss DOrothy Gass both of Huntington, Ind; a som Raymond E. Gass of North Palm Beach, Fla; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vince (Naomi) Borman of Wisconsin; and a brother WIlliam Gass of Decatur,

    A daughter, three sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Rev. Matthew Kafka, pastor, will officate.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Bonnine funeral home of CUlver; where the rosary will be recieted at 7:30 p.m. Friday followed by memorial services conducted by VFW POst 6919, of which he was the oldest living member.

    Gass owned and operated the Three Sisters Restaurant in Culver prior to his retirement.

    He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus of Huntington, Ind.

    Services for Helena A. Gass, 89, 960 W Shore Drive, who died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Huntington (Ind.) Memorial Hospital after an illness will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's of the lLake Catholic Church, of which she was a member.

    Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

    Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 2 p.m. Sunday in Bonine FUneral Homer, Culver, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m.

    Mrs. Gass was born Nov. 19, 1896, in Culver. She lived in Culver for 42 years, coming from Huntington.

    On Jun3 8 1920 in Monterey, she married Raymond O. Gass. He died in 1983

    Surviving are four daughters: Jan Stoffell of Shelbyville, Ky; Morma Melton of North Manchester, Ind; and Mary Gass and Dorothy Gass of Huntington; a son Raymond E. of North Palm Beach, Fla; 14 grandchildren; 14 greath grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Etter of Huntington.

    A daughter preceeded her in death.

    Mrs Gass and her husband owned and operated the Three Sisters Restaurant in Culver.

      Raymond Gass, 89, of Port St. Lucie, FL died at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

      Born in Decatur, IN, he came to Port St. Lucie in 1990 from Jupiter, FL.

      Raymond was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie & a Veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years Mary D. Gass.

      Survivors include sons, John Joseph Gass and Richard Herbert Gass; daughter, Mary Ann Silvers; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Stoffel, Mary Helen Gass and Dorothy Gass.

      Services will be held privately for the family by Yates Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie Chapel.

      Jane R. Stoffel, 97, of Huntington, passed away at 8:26 am Monday, October 26, 2020 at Heritage Pointe of Huntington. Jane was born on August 26, 1923 in Huntington, the daughter of Raymond Gass and Helena (Keller) Gass. She graduated from Huntington Catholic High in 1941 and married Joseph Stoffel on December 28, 1942 in Tacoma, WA.

      She worked for years at the family business, Gass’ Ladies Shop in Huntington, IN

      Survivors include her Three Daughters, Mary Lynn (Ed Rickman) Overmyer of Culver, IN, Jolene (Don) L'Tainen of Lancaster, PA, and Ave (Joel) Sofranko of Columbiana, OH; Son, Joseph (Maryan) Stoffel, Jr. of Westfield, IN; and her Sister, Mary Helen Gass of Huntington, IN; Also survived by 11 Grandchildren, and 17 Great Grandchildren.

      She is preceded in death by her Father, Raymond Gass, Mother, Helena Gass, Husband, Joseph Stoffel, Brother, Raymond Gass, Sister, Norma Melton, her Sister, Dorothy Gass, Son in-law , Lance Overmyer and Granddaughter, Sally Overmyer Bolt.

      Services will be held at a later date.
