    John C. Howe, former summer resident of Long Point, died in a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., Sunday, according to a telegram received here Monday. by Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Strang.

    Their son, Flecher, Jr. of Dencer, Colo, is a son-in-law of the deceased.

    Mr. Howe had been in the hospital for about three weeks.

    His home was in Helena, Ark.

    No details regarding the funeral services was given in the telegram.

    Mr. Howe was a member of one of the pioneer families on Lake Maxinkuckee, havin sold his property here about a month ago.
