Thomas “Tom” G. WILSON, 60, of 1349 Monticello Road, Rochester, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Sunday at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

Born on Feb. 6, 1946, in Rochester, he was the son of Russell and Lois (Gaumer) Wilson.

On Sept. 19, 1964, in Rochester, he married Nedra Jean Carr, who survives.

Mr. Wilson owned and operated Wilson Fertilizer & Grain, Wilson Corn Products and the Fulton County Railroad.

He was on the Board of Directors of Indiana Renewable Fuels and Indiana Quarter Horses Association, a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association, former member of Flying Hoofs Saddle Club, a member of the Fulton County Historical Power Association, a Rochester volunteer fireman for 25 years, a member of Rochester Odd Fellows Lodge and a member of the Fulton County Fair Board for 34 years.

Tom enjoyed being with his grandchildren, family and friends, being outdoors, fishing, hunting and had a passion for raising and showing quarter horses.

Survivors include his wife, Nedra Jean Wilson, Rochester; daughters, Wendy and husband Jeff Zent, Rochester, Andi and husband Chris Lee, Rochester, Michelle and husband Bill Morris, Rochester; grandchildren, Ashley Zent, Ren Zent, Whitley Zent, Hannah Lee, Rhett Lee, Wilson Lee, Heather Morris, all of Rochester; sister, Terry Moore and husband Joe Moore, Rochester; brother, Rob Wilson, Rochester; mother-in-law, Alice Jean Carr, Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Fulton County 4-H Fair Community Building, 1009 W. Third St., Rochester, with the Rev. Jill Walley officiating.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to the service at the community building.

Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tom Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Northern Indiana Community Foundation or to Fulton County United Ministries. - - Rochester Sentinel May 31, 2006
