The Roy Watts Mark Golden Wedding Date

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Watts, 222 Lakeview St., observed their Godlen Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, Aug 29.

Many firends and neighbors remembered the honored couple with yellow roses, golden wedding cake, and anniversary cards making the occasion a highly memorable and enjoyable affair.

The anniversary couple's only child, their daughter, Mrs. Haithman, Dr. Haithman and children of Detriot, surprises Mr. and Mrs. Watts a week early by taking them to Detriot for a week where they were feted and enjoyed seeing "My Fair Lady"

Mrs. Haithman presented her parents with a minatrue set of engagement and wedding rings on a golden chain.

The Watts were amrried Aug. 29, 1915, in Culver and have resided here all of their married life.

They are well-known in colored circles as Mrs. Watt's father, George Rollins, built the Rollins Chapel.

Mr. Watts is a retired Culver Military Academy employee. - Sept 9, 1965 - Citizen.
