David Whitted was born in Rockville, Ind., Aug. 15, 1881 and attended high school in Rockville and business college in Terre Haute.

He was united in marriage to Miss Zena Palmer, Dec. 26, 1905.

To this union two sons were born Palmer Deane and David Winslow.

He was employed by the Culver Military Academy over a period of 47 years and was automatically retired by the age limit in 1946.

After a period of rest, which inlcuded a visit to his son in San Francisco, Calif., he returned home in Culver and asscepted a position at the State Exchange Bank as assistant custodian. He was very proud of having been designated as a member of the offical family of this institution.

He departed this life Wedensday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day, 1948, at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 2 days. --- Culver Citizen (Culver, Indiana) 24 Mar 1948, Wed Page 14

Mrs. Zena M. Whitted CULVER - Mrs Zena M Whitted. 82, formerly of Culver, died Wednesday in the Herbert Convalescent Home Berkley, Calif , where she had lived since 1948 She had lived in Culver for about 40 years before moving to California She was bom on May 15. 1894, in North Carolina Her husband, David Whitted, died m 1948 Surviving are two sons. Palmer D of Vallejo, Calif , and David Jr of Chicago, four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren The body is being brought to the Bomne Funeral Home. Whitted-Eubanks Marriage Performed
The marriage of Miss Mildred Eubanks, daughter of Mrs. Carries Eubanks and P. E. Eubanks of Chicago, Ill., to David Dvitted, Jr. of this city, was solemnized Thursday afternoon at one-thirty o'clock at the brides home

The bride, wearing a down of yellow crepe and carrying calla lilies, waas attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert L. Phillips, who chose sea green crepe and wore a corsage of yellow roses, Robert L. Phillips served as best man.

The Impressive rig service was read by Rev.John R. Redmond, pastor of the St. Mark Methodist EPiscola Church, Chisago. Miss ELenore Jones sang "Melody of Love" which was also played softly during the services.

Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. WHitted, St. motored the junior WHitteds and Mr. and Mrs. Phillips to the Culver residence where an elaborate supper was served by Mrs. Bernice Digga, assisted by Ada Lee WInborn.

Bill Taber's orchestra furnished music for dancing during the reception which honored the couple. A msical program included solos by Miss Ruth Behmer, Miss Boroth Reed and Mrs Everett Hoser, with Miss EMily Reed at the piano and Muss Louise Strang, at the violin.

On Friday night the bridal party returned to Chicago, where Mr. and Mrs. WHitted are at home at 6223 Indiana Avenue.

The bride received her eduaction at Englewood High School and Crane College; while the groom know as "Babe" Whitted, was an all-round athlete at Culver High School and Heidleberg College - Citizen March 28, 1934
