Clark L. Allerding, son of Peter and Melinda Allerding, was norn near Ada Ohio, on May 27th 1867.

When but a small boy her came to Indiana, the larger part of his life being spent in Marshall county.

On October 6th, 1906 he was united in marriage to Bertha Hissong. Although two children cemto this home, both died in infancy.

Most of Mr. Aldering's life was spent on a farm near Popular Grove, where he was an active member of the Methodist church and of the I.O.O.F.

As his helath failed he moved from the farm to a residence in Maxinkuckee some three years ago. He passed away there at 6:30 Sunday morning, June 11th, 1944, at the age of 77 years and 15 days

In addition to his widow, he is survived b y three brothers, Clinton, Alve and Arthur of Harbor Springs, Mich' amd four sisters Mrs. Cora Davenport and Mrs. Stella FIneout of Harbor SPrings, Mich; Mrs Larua Jones, Lansing, Mich.; and Mrs. Minnie Stombeck, Plymouth, Indiana, as well as by a host of friends. - 21 Jun 1944 Citizen

Mrs Clark Allerding Passed Away Sunday

Mrs. Bertha ALlerding, 71, died in her home in Maxinkuckee at 6:45 a.m. Monday after a two day illness with bronchial pneumonia

Born in Marshall county Oct. 18, 1873 she lived her entire life here

She was married to Clark ALlerding on Oct 6 1906. He died last June

A sister, Mrs Daisy Sout of Lakeville, and a brother Harry C. Hissong of Laporte, survive.

The body was removed from the Grossman funeral home in Argos to the residence where friend may call until the hour of the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at hte Popular Grove Church.

Rev. Ralph Jones will officiate and burial will be in the Poplar Grove cemetery.
