Peter Spangler, a member of Speyer Post, enlisted January Fifteenth Army coprs, Army of the Cumberland, and under the gerneral commands of Gens. Logan, Thomas and Grant. COmrade Spangler was in the siege of Atlanta, Ga., and with the victoriooous army of Sherman that cut a swath 60 miles throught the confederacy, "from Atlanta to the sea". He was also int the battle of Raleigh, N.C. When "Johnny came marching home," Comrade Spangler marched in the grand review at Washington
