Maxinkuckee Assembly 1900



1900 - Jun 14 - The Indiana Lectureship will meet at Maxinkuckee Park, Culver, August 6 to 10. The following speakers have been secured; Prf. E. V. Zollers, Knox P. Taylor, A. W> COnner, J. A. Lord, A. J. Frnak and J. R. Briney. Other speakers are expected. Oklahoma Christian (Gutherie Oklahoma)

1900 - Jul 21 - Maxinkuckee Assembly

    Now Encampment on the Indiana Lake to Open

    The Maxinkuckee Assembly a new encampment of Maxinkuckee Lake, a short distance from Culver, will open on week from today to continue until August 13 The assembly association was recently incorporated with a capital stock of $10,000.

    A new hotel of 120 rooms has been built and an octaganl auditorium where all services will be held

    The assembly is located on one of the prettiest parts of the lake and has abundant shade, good bathing, boating and fishing.

    The home offic of the assembly is in this city and the board of directors consists of:

    The program conotains lectures, entertainments, an evangelistic congress and a Prohibition encampment, andas speakers and others who will appear before the assembly it mentions the:
      Rev. Samuel M. Jones, of Toledo Will Cumback, Qunince Lee Morrow, Stater Prohibiton evandelist Charles Eckhart, Prohibition nominee for Governor, and others connected with the prohinition movement
        Clinton N. Howard; Ransom H. Randall of Chicago,and the Rev. J. P. Litctenberger, of Buffalo, N.Y.
      Prof. W. E. M. Hackleman will have charge of the music

      One of the features of the program will be days devoted to the two leading political parties.

      On Democratix day - the opening day of the season - George Fred Williams is expected to deliver and addree, also B. F. Shively of South Bend, and Senator Winfield.

      On Republican day - Aug . 4 - Congressman Delliver, of Iowa, wll be the principal speaker. rank B. Shutter of Aurora, and J. Frank Hanley of Lafayette, are on the program to speak.

    1900 Jul 22 - Maxinkuckee Assembly
      An Attractive Programme Has Bee Arranged

      The Maxinkuckee Assembly is to open at Maxinkuckee lake, Culver, Ind. on July 26, and will continue to Aug. 13.

      It is the intention of the management this year to make Maxinkuckee Park a rest place.

      Many persons who go to summer assemblies return wore out, instead of invigoratied and rested and it is the object of the management to change thise conditiond

      Thr programme that has been prepared is e;aborate and well arranged. Concerts, elouctuinary, entertainments, steropticon enertainments, moving pictures; lectures, round table talk, Bidle study, prohibition encampement, tallies and many other things will find a place in the exercieses. The moonlight excursions on the lake are to be made especiall attractive this Year.

      July 28, the date of the opening of the pavillon. Will be "Democratic day amd such speakers as George Fred Williams, Boston; B. F. Shively, of South Bend; Senator Winfield will address the Assembly. On the 4th of August tje republicans will have their day and the assembly will be addressed by Representative Delliver, of Iowa, Mr. Shutts of Aurora; and J.
