Henry J. MEREDITH, 83, of 318 West Fourth street, died at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Woodlawn hospital. He had been in ill health for four years and seriously ill five days.

The deceased was born in Fulton county on July 18, 1859, and lived in Fulton and Marshall counties all of his life.

For many years he was a merchant in Culver and in later years was engaged in the real estate business in Rochester.

He was married twice, first to Clara DAVIS, and on October 29, 1927, to Mary F. HARRISON, of Rochester. Mr. Meredith was a member of the Church of God.

The survivors are: his wife; two step-daughters, Mrs. Charles ROBERTSON, of Rochester, and Mrs. Curtis SIMONS, of Andrews, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Church of God

MRS. MEREDITH DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS FUNERAL SUNDAY

Body Is Taken To Green Springs, O., For Burial

Lived Here For Many Years.

A death that brought sadness to many hearts of this community, occurred last Thursday, June 10, when Mrs. H. J. Meredith, age 71, passed to eternity.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at eleven o'clock Sunday morning, conducted by Reverend Voris B. Servies.

The body was then taken to Green Springs, Ohio, a former home, where another short service was held before burial in that place.

Mrs. Meredith had suffered for a number of years and had been an invalid for the past three years. In spite of her sufferings, she was patient and always had a desire to do things for other people. Her life has been an exemplification of Christian Character.

She will be greatly missed by a wide circle of friends who were attracted to her.

Clara Jeannette, eldest daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Smith, was born at Tiffin, Ohio, March 15th, 1855.

On November 18th, 1880, she was united in marriage to H. J. Meredith.

During the ministry of the Reverend Owen S. Wright, she united with the local Methodist Episcopal Church and has been faithful and loyal in her devotion to her Master.

She is survived by her husband, two nieces, two nephews, a brother and a host of very close friends.

Her life has been a blessing and an Inspiration to all with whom she came in contact. - The Culver Citizen Jun 16, 192
