    Henry Meyer of Terre Haute, who has been confined to St. Anthony's hospital in that city since July with a broken hip, is now able to take short walks with a cane and will soon return to his home. Mr. Meyer, pioneer cottager on Long Point of Lake Maxinkuckee, recently sold his lake property.

    Mrs. Henry Meyer Died in Terre Haute, Dec. 21

    Mrs. Henry Meyer of Terre Haute died on Monday, Dec. 21 in St. Anthony's hospital of that city, after an illness of one week

    A life long resident of Terre Haute, Mrs. Meyer came to Lake Maxinkuckee for many years with her family to enjoy the summers at their cottage on Long Point.

    She was well-known to the residents of Culver, the summer colony, and the Academy faculty.

    Surviving are her husband and two daughters: Mrs. Ellen Meyer Hudson of Terre Haute and Mrs. Isabel Meyer Obenauf of Silver Lake, Ohio. - Dec. 30, 1942 - Citizen

      A wedding beautiful in its simplicity was solemnized on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 24, when Miss Henrietta Elsa Myer became the bride of Mr. John Brinton Hodson.

      The ceremony was performed at 5 o'clock at St. Stephens Episcopal church in Terre Haute by the Rev. John E. Sulger in the presence of the immediate families.

      The bride entered the church on the arm of her father and was met at the altar by the groom.

      The bride, who is an attractive, talented young. woman, is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer of Terre Haute. She is a post graduate of St. Mary of the Woods college and an accomplished violinist.

      Mr. Hodson is connected with the Bost Glass company where he is traffic manager.

      Mr. and Mrs. Hodson are members of the Fort Harrison Country club and both are enthusiastic golf players.

      The bride wore a handsome suit of brown peachbloom cloth trimmed in nutria with all accesso'ries of harmonizing tones. Her flowers were a corsage of Aaron Ward roses and white sweet peas.

      Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Hodson left for a three weeks' wedding trip in the South. Most of their time will be spent at a hunting lodge on Mobile bay. The lodge, servants, grounds and motor boat have been placed at their disposal as a wedding present by the owner who is a close friend of Mr. Hodson.

      On their return Mr. and Mrs. Hodson will be at home in the Fellenger apartments, 670 Swan street, Terre Haute.

      Mrs. Hodson is well known in Culver, having spent her summers since girlhood at "Alpenrose," her early father's lakeside cottage. Her charming personality has made a host of friends both in town and among the members of the academy and summer colonies who will wish for her every happiness. - Citizen Feb 4, 1920

      Mrs. Elsa Meyer Hodson Dies

      Mrs. Elsa Meyer Hodson of Terre Haute died Sunday morning Oct. 6 following an illness of several months

      She was the daughter pf the late Mr. and Mrs. Henery Meyer, pioneer cottagers on Long Point, who came here summers for 50 years.

      Surviving is her sister Mrs. Isbael Meyer Obenauf of SIlver Lake, Ohio - Oct 9 1957 Citizen
