1910 - Jan. 13 - Hollis mattix moved into town this week to handle a creamery route for Schlosser brothers. he is occupying the first floor of the bower's building on Main Street.

1910 feb 3 - Koontz & walter have transferred all the equipment of their vacum cleaner plant fro the small building back to the citizen office and young's machine shop to the building formerly used by walter as an ice house which has been remodeled

1910 - Apr 17 - The Neeswaugee cigar factory had been moved to the property formerly occupied by Mary Butler

1910 Jun 9 - Julius, the junk man is fitting up the front room in the Bowers building for a fruit store

    It is rumored that a dry goods s tock will be opened in the room vacated by the Simcox furniture store.


1910 - Aug 11 - G. R. Howard, Culver's famous ice cream man, has bought a lot east of Main Street back of the blacksmith shop and after the close of the season will put up a building for his ice cream and pop factory using the material in his present factory.

1910 - Aug 18 - Hotel for Colored People

    Robert Brewer, an Indianapolis colored man who owns a house and lot on Lake View avenue, was in town last week talking of his project for establishing a hotel here for colored people.

    He desires to buy a lot suitable for the purpose, but failing in that he will put up a building on the lot he already owns.


1910 sep. 8 Taken A Partner - J. F Baker has taken an interst in the shooting gallery with Henry Litzenberger

1910 Sep 8 - New cement Barn - M. R. Cline is building a cement barn on the rear of the lot to be occupied by his new cement block factory. It will have cement shingles and will be fireproof.

1910 Sep 8 New firm in Town - Whittey & Hager, machinists from Argos, will next week open an automobile repair shop in the Tony Young place. They will move their families to Culver.
    1910, Nov 17 - Mr. Frank Hager has sold his hald interest in the Whittey & Hager garage to his partner and is moving to Plymouth - Plymouth Democrat


1910 Oct 13 - A New Business Place - Orr Hudson, for several years employed on the engineering force at the academy, has rented the first flor of the new Edward's building at the depot, and has opened a refreshment place.

1910, Nov. 3 - Going out of Business - The Surprise store will soon go out of existence as the big ad this week indicates. Sam and Isadore Hessel have conducted this store for the past eight years, but now have other plans in view. They want it clearly understood that this sale is a genine closing out of their business

1910 Nov 10 - Going Out of Business - After a successful career of 31 1/2 years the general store owned for the past 16 years by Perter & Co. is winding up its affairs. The junior partner, H. M. Speyer, has recently became interested in a promising prospect in California and is anxiious to devote his whole time to it, while Mr. Porter is ready on account of his health to lay down the cares of business life

1910 Nov. 17 - S. C. Shilling has bought the Dr. Rea Office building for $2,000. The completes the ownership in Mr Shilling of the entire frontage 132 feet, from the bank corner to the the Methodist church.

1910 Nov. 17 - The Hessel store building and the two lots on which it stands have been sold to Miton G Hopper for $6,00. The Hessels have retained a year's lease on the property which they say will insure its being occupied by a desirable tenant after they vacate.

1910, Nov 24 - Removed - The Listenberger-Bogardus pool room is being removed from Austins livery barn to the store room opposite the hadrware store

1910, Dec 22 - New Dry Goods Store - On Feb. 1 Mrss Retta Hollet of Three Oaks, Mich. will occupy the Osborn store with a stock of dry goods and ladies' outfittings. The place will be known as the "White Store"
