1912 - JANUARY 1, — Howard's old ice cream and pop factory building has been bought by Mrs. Rhumphrey and has been torn down for removal to her farm where it will be rebuilt into a barn.

1912 - feb. 1 Roy and Arley Cromley are planning to build a garage on the lot opposite the Pontius livery stable

1912 Feb 8 Mechanic is ____ the Pontius garage for a complete repair shop which will be in charge of O. D. Hoham of LaPorte, a son of Mrs. John Souder,Mr. Hoham is an expert automobile mechanic.

APRIL 11, 1912 Charley Hayes has the construction work on his restaurant building well under way

1912 - May 2 - Changes Hands Again

    J. G. Beck has bought the Jesse Crabb grocery and will take possesskl on or before May 10.

    Mr. Beck lives in Hadley, Henderson, county, Ind., where he has conducted a gorcery for five or six years and previous to that was in the same business in Brazil.

    Prior to that he was agent and operator at Rosedale for the Vandalia.

    He is a man of family and his father G. M. Beck, is on the lookout for a house for him.


1912 May 30 Rhoads & Warner have put into into service the swellest horse-propelled delivery wagon yet brought to town

1912 sep 12 - Jesse Rhoads has sold his interest in the pressing and tailoring shop and laundry agency to his partner, Roy Warner, and will probably engage in some outside occupation.
