1915 april 8 The Town Board is having 72 feet of iron hitching rail erected along the north side of the Beck Grocery.

MAY 20, 1915 —Will Hays is erecting an open air pavilion in the rear of the building which he will occupy as a soft drink resort.

1915 Nov. 18 - roy Warner expects to move his grocery to the new Main Street building next week.

1916 - March 16 - Work has begun on a cement, block store building, 30x80, on the lot west of the pool room near the depot. It will be occupied by the Hollett dry goods and shoe store, and a line of groceries will he added.

    Note this sounds like it could be the Lakeside Grocery at 630 Lake Shore Dr. It is a cement block building.


1916 - MARCH 23 - Holland has sold his garage livery to E. N. Cromley and P. R. McLane, who will put in new cars and' and continue the repair department

1917 - MARCH 22 - Henry Listenberger Has bought the the Bradley Hall and will open it as a bowling and box ball Alley

1918 - March 27 - Austin Romig has opened the ice cream factory as a distributing depot only. He will handle the Logansport product.

1918 - May 1- Howard's ice cream factory has a nice business lined up for the summer Liveryman

July 24, 1918 Henry Pecher has bought back the tinsmith shop which he sold to Otto Rich three years ago. the firm is now making army bake ovens on a government contract.
