1930, Jul 2 - C. H. Greenway, who had a plumbing shop in Culver several years ago, has returned and again has entered the plumbing and heating buisness

1930 - Oct 8 - A new business firm, the Culver Clothes Shop, has been established in the Schweidler building in the north end of town, by Gray Rector.

1930 - Nov. 6 - Glenn Snyder has purchased Snyder's Market from his brother, Paul, effective November 1. They have been associated together in the restaurant gusiness ior a number of year.-, so Glenn is no novice at serving the public.

1930 - Nov. 6 - A business transaction was completed last week whereby Mrs. A. E. Thessin, for several years proprietor of the Coffee Shop,-took over the management of the Home Restaurant.

1931 may 13 - The Culver Hotel Managing Company has announced that the date of construction of the new hotel has been postponed.

Jan. 4, 1933: The K & E Oil Company has purchased the B & B Service Station on Lake Shore Drive of William Baldwin. The station will be operated by J.A. Smith, who comes here from Plymouth. He plans to remodel the station, put in a concrete drive, new pumps, and other improvements.

1934 - Sep 26 - Homer Kemple bought the front half of the Henry Listenberger Blue Front dance hall and plans to wreck the building and use the space for a driveway to his service station.

1934 - Oct 3 E . C. Fernbaugh has closed his jewelry,, repair shop 'here and has moved to Logansport.

1935 - March 13 - Donald Young states that he will have an official opening of his paint and roofing store opppsite the depot on March 3

1935 - March 15, - A business deal was completed last week whereby Harry Saunders, owner of a bakery at Milford, again became owner of the Culver City Bakery. Mr. Saunders states that he plans to give Culver a modern bakery in every respect and make the finest of breads and pastries

1937 - Jul 7 - To Open Dress Shop - Mrs.M. C. Dimmick annouces the opening of a dress shop. "The Culver Style Shop", in the Warner building next Saturday. She will feature, dresses, slips and hosiery.

1937 - Jul 7 - Elza Hawkins announces the sale of the Culver Department store to L. B. Simco of Marion, Ind.

1937 - AUg. 25 - R. L. Haig of Terre Haute was in town last week looking over a possible site for a pretzel factory.

1938 - May 25 - The Mitchell Feed Store has opened for business in the Bogardus building on East Jefferson Street with Maurice Mitchell, formerly of Hanna, in charge.

1938 - August 3 - Jack Taylor has closed his tavern in the Hayes Building opposite the depot.

1939 - February 15 Don Bruce has been secured as manager of the Armour's Cream Station, which opened Friday in the building on South Main St. near Culver Sheet Metal Works

1939 - Jun 7 - A photoaphy studio has been opended in ths Hayes building opposite the depot by A. E . Thielke of South Bend, who has moved here.
