1973 - JANUARY 11 - NOTICE OF RESOLUTION FOR ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
Notice is hereby given that the of Trustees of the Eastern Community School Corporation and the Board of Trustees of the
Culver Community Corporation have each adopted the following Resolution, to-wit:
"RESOLUTION TO BE ADOPTED BY EASTERN PULASKI COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION AND CULVER COMMUNITY
SCHOOL CORPORATION FOR ANNEXATION BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Pulaski Community
School Corporation and the Board of Trustees of the Culver Community School Corporation that certain territory be annexed
by the latter corporation, in accordance with the following particulars:
1. The name of the acquiring school corporation after the effective date of the annexation will remain the Culver Community
2. The territory to be annexed by the Culver Community School Corporation from the Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation
shall ba as follows: All that portion of land in Franklin Township, Pulaski County, Indiana, east of the Tippecaone River, of land being
to the east side of and 13, Township 31 North, Range 2 West.
3 Said annexation shall take place on March 1, 1973, or as soon thereafter as all legal requirements for such annexation shall
have been met
4. Since all children now located in said area have previously been attending school in the Culver Community School Corporation,
said pupils shall continue to be educated in the Culver Community School Corporation Schools, and no adjustments will be made
for payment of tuition.
5. Both the acquiring and the losing school corporations will retain all of their current assets and all of their current liabilities
without transfer. All taxes assessed against property in the territory to be annexed up - to the date of annexation shall be retained
by the losing corporation, and all taxes assessed against said property after the date of annexation shall be received by and retained
by the acquiring school corporation."
Said Resolution was adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation on the 11th day of
December, 1972, and by the Board of Trustees of the Culver Community School Corporation on the 19th day of December, 1972.
Under the provisions of the Acts of 1963, Chapter 296, registered voters residing in the losing corporation or in the territory to be
annexed, have a right to remonstrate against such annexation, which remonstrance shall be in accordance with the provisions
of said law, until the date of such annexation.
