1940 - Maybe readers will wonder when the supply of promising sophmore high school players will be exhausted but the end is not yet and we have another one with us today. He is Martin Mahler, who has been gaining experience this year on the second team, but is about ready for varsity service. He has a good eye for the basket, and manages to get open for his share of shots. Defense has been his weakness so far, but he has shown improvement in this department this season and as soon as he learns to keep ahead of his man he will see plenty of action with the first team during the enxt two seasons. He has been a member of the Hi-Y gfor two years ans has one of year of track to his credit. He was born in Green Township. |
