1939-1940 Basketball Profiles - Vern Weiger

| 1940 - Vern Weiger is in a class by himself - he is the only junior on the high school basketball team. He won a letter last year and has been one of the regulars this season. His outstanding ability is in getting the ball off the backboard at both ends of the floor. Although he is not very tall, he out-jumps most of this opponents and as a result is used much of the time in the center position. Vern is noted for his ability to take hard knock many of his cotacts with the hardwood being of a degree that would render many a player unconscious or result in a severe injury. Vern has wond letter aslo in basball and track. He was born in Culver. |  |
