The quote from the Thomas Bigley Biographical sketch in speaking of Aaron Benedict is:

He also owned considerable acreage north of the lake along Aubbenaubbee Bay, 83 acres along the lake front and 200 acres thence north. He built a home approximately a half mile from the lake and planted pine trees around it. He never lived there, but rented it to his daughter, Augusta, and husband William WARNER and family. Later the house burned but the pine trees stand to this day; the site is historically known as the Pine Tree House. His land holdings were later acquired by Henry H. CULVER for the Culver Military Academy.

and another quip under the Wayne Flagg biographical sketch found in the same book [History of Marshall County Indiana Sesquicentennial 1836 - 1986 -,Taylor Publishing Co., 1986, Publication # 357 of 1422, Marshall County Historical Society pg 169] that gives the location of this farmhouse is:

Wayne's maternal grandparents, William b. Warner (1846-1898) and Augusta Benedict Warner (1848-1939),....

The William Warners owned a farm that is now part of the Culver Military Academy Campus. Wayne's mother was born on this farm.

The house was located near the pine trees where the activities of the Woodcraft Council Fires are held.

Otho F. WARNER, 79, Culver, died Wednesday morning at 5:15 in Woodlawn hospital. He had been ill three weeks.

Born Dec. 6, 1890, in Argos, he was the son of William and Phoebe BENEDICT WARNER.

His marriage was March 30, 1916, in Plymouth, to Edna WARNER, who survives.

He had lived in Culver 54 years, moving from Argos.

He had been employed at Culver Military Academy until his retirement in 1959.

He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist church at Culver.

Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Mrs. Rachel M. MANUWAL, Plymouth; one brother, Herbert WARNER, Rochester; three sisters, Mrs. Elva SCHEUERMAN, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Jennie BARTON, Elkhart, and Mrs. Marie LONG, Culver; one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wesley United Methodist church at Culver.

The Rev. Earl SHARP will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill cemetery at Plymouth.

Mrs. Anna FLAGG, 91, Culver, died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Plymouth Parkview hospital. She had been a patient five weeks.

Born May 6, 1877 in Culver, she was the daugher of Leander and Augusta BENEDICT WARNER.

She was married Oct. 10, 1897 to Miner Delton FLAGG, who died Dec. 31, 1946.

She had lived in Culver five years, moving there from her farm home in the Santa Anna community southwest of Argos. She was a member of the Santa Anna Methodist church and the church WSCS.

Surviving are five daughers, Mrs. Roscoe (Dorothy) OVERMYER, R.R. 5, Rochester; Mrs. O. C. (Freda) GIBBONS, R.R. 3, Rochester; Mrs. Morton (Mary) FREESE, LaPorte; Miss Bessie FLAGG, Culver, and Mrs. George (Fran) BABCOCK, R.R. 1, Culver; two sons, Clevie [FLAGG], of Mishawaka, and Glenn [FLAGG], of Culver; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Elva) SCHEURMAN, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Earl (Jennie) BARTON, Elkhart, and Mrs. L. M. (Marie) LONG, Culver; two brothers, Otho WARNER, Culver, and Herbert WARNER, Rochester; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Jessie and Essie, and a son, Wayne [FLAGG], preceded in death.

Dorothy M. OVERMYER, 84, formerly of Argos and Rt. 5, Rochester (Tiosa community), died at 1:45 a.m. today in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Culver.

She was born April 2, 1901 in Marshall County to Miner and Anna WARNER FLAGG, and was a lifetime resident of Marshall and Fulton counties. On June 3, 1928 in Argos, she was married to Rosco A. OVERMYER, who died July 28, 1971.

Surviving are four sisters, Freida GIBBONS and Bessie FLAGG, both of Rochester; Fran BABCOCK, Culver, and Mary FREESE, LaPorte, and a brother, Clevie [FLAGG], Mishawaka. Two brothers and a sister preceded in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Rev. Keith SMITLEY officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Last rites were held this afternoon at the Grossman funeral home in Argos for Glenn D. FLAGG, 64, Culver, who died Friday at 7:30 p.m. of a heart attack while in downtown Culver.

He had been under a physician's care for a heart ailment.

The Rev. Mark DAY officiated at rites and burial was in Poplar Grove cemetry.

Memorial services were conducted Sunday evening by the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. lodge.

Born April 4, 1907, near Culver, Mr. Flagg was the son of Minor and Anna WARNER FLAGG and had lived in Culver the past 10 years, moving from the Santa Anna community southeast of Culver.

He was a retired employee of Culver military academy, member of Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. lodge and attended Santa Anne United Methodist church.
