Wilfred C. Craft, 86, 216 S. Ohio St., Culver, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Parkview
Hospital, Plymonth, after a brief illness. |
He was a boatwright for Culver Military Academy before his retirement.
Mr. Craft was born Oct. 10, 1898 in Jay County to Douglas and Anna (Upp) Craft. He had lived at Culver 60 years, going
there from Knox.
He was married Oct. 19, 1924 at Knox to Izora Bolen who survives. He was a member of Culver Grace United Church of
Christ.
Survivors also include three children: Betty (Mrs. Jerome) Zechiel, Culver; Lymon D. Craft, Culver; and Donald E. Craft, Rockford,
Ill.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday at Culver Grace United Church of Christ with Rev. Walter Vonderohe, church paster,
officiating. Burial will be at Culver Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at Bonnie Funeral Home, Culver, from 2 till 4 and from 7 till
