This is a jolly club, and all the members but one, are staunch Mckinley, men and they claim that
this 'lone silverite” with them was the only one to be found in Indianapolis, consequently they
brought him along to see if they finally could not persuade him to enter the McKinley band
wagon. The boys put in their time fishing, and hunting ducks, and have already killed several
beauties.
Dr. Mueller, the eminent surgeon of the club, is prepared for all immergencies, bringing with
him a full line of instruments and medicines, not forgetting his “pill bag.”
The club has its own boat, with C. C. Perry as second engineer, but the position was annulled
owing to incompetency, he having set the craft on fire the first day he had it in charge, greatly
to the consternation of Capt. Pegg, who expected to finally meet a watery grave.
This is the third year of the club’s existence, and it is rapidly increasing in membership, and
contemplates erecting a magnificent club house in the near future.
One of the crowd. Frank Ittenbach, left for home Monday, owing to urgent business, taking
with him 20 pounds of fine fish and several ducks.
