Culver - Union Township Fire Department 1994-2003



1996 May 13 - J Dicke & Co deeded the lot at 610 Lake Shore over to the town of Culver and it is now used as a parking lot for the Culver Fire Department


1997 - Dec 1 - The Culver-Union Township Fire Department was incorporated as a domestic nonprofit corporation the incoporators were Glenn Whitmarsh, Michael Grover, F. William Snyder and Lance Overmyer


1999, Jul 26 - The next challenge of the department is to replace their third-out engine and tanker. The engine is thirty-five yeas old (a 1965 Ford Engine #2) and the tanker is fifteen year old (a 1984 Int'l tanker) specs were for a two-door KME Tandem Tanker/Pumper. If started on this date would be a sixteen to twenty-four month delivery date.

2002 Feb 7- Purchased the Homer Kemple property next door owned by his daughter Marjory Ann Kemple which consisted of two lots for expansion in the Fire departments name
    The East Forty-two and one-half (42 1/2) feet of Outlot Number Four (4) in A.D. Toner's Addition to the Town of Culver and, the West Forty-three (43) feet of the East Eighty-five and one-half (85 1/2) feet of Outlot Number Four (4) in A.D. Toner's Addition to the Town of Culver; EXCEPT a tract sixty-nine and one half (69 1/2) feet North and South by seventy-eight and one-half (78 1/2) feet East and West out of the Southeast corner thereof. Commonly known as 413 State Street, Culver, IN 46511.
