Sunday Morning Will Find Uncle Sam Employees in Warner Building
On Next Sunday morning the post office will be moved into its temportary home in the
Warner bulding on Main
stree, to allow the tearing down of the present building.
Mail service will not be interrupted in the least, according to word given out by
Postmaster Overmyer. It is excpected that the entire change will be made during
Saturday night.
In some ways, the arrangement of the lobby room will be better in the temporary home
than the present room.
The partition to the room will be near the front and will run north and south. At the north
end of the partition will be the lock boxes. Then the partition turns to the west and around
the corner will be will be the money order window. nother turn to the south and we have the
parcel post, stamp and general delivery windows running north and south in the order named.
All incoming and outgoing maul will be handled through the rear door. This has been impossible
at the present office and will do away with the congestion of traffice of the office when
mail carriers and other vehicles are near.
Postmaster Overmyer has not as yet been advised ny the postmaster-general whether any new
equipmet will be allowed for the new building
The local equipment has been used here for a great number of years. and it is hoped some new
furniture will be sent here.

Will Open Up Sunday Morning in Room in
Bank Building
The post office will move from its present location in the Warner building to its new
quarters in the new bank building on Saturday night and will be ready to distribute
the mail on Sunday morning. This is the announcement of Postmaster
George Overmyer
The new room is the last word in convenience for Uncle Sam's employees since
everything has been built with the idea that the psot office would occupy this place.
The lobby in front will not be so large but the back room where the work in done
will be spacious to allow the quick dispatch of outgoing mails and sorting of incoming
mails.
This is the first room of the new bank building to be finsihed.
It is said that the Claumet Gas and Electric Company will move into their room about
Nov. 1st.
