New Organization focuses on local history, township-wide

The formation of a new organization dedicated to the preservation of the history of Culver-Union Township area was announced recently by members of its board.

Culver-Union Township Heritage, Inc. was incorporated earlier this year, and has launched a Facebook page at www.facebbok/com / Culver-UnionTwonshipHeritage and blog site at culveruniontwonshipheritage. blogspot.com.

FOunding members, who bring a wealth of Culver historical, community, and professional backgounds to the table, include:

Jeff Kenney, President.

CUTH, which will sponsor the year's Fall Fest Culver History Hayride and co-sponsor (along with Culver Academies' Wellness Department) the Fall Fest's Moonlight Paddle (both events take place over the Oct. 9 weekend), aims to focus on the entirey of Union Township and all that it encompasses.

A special emphasis is in preserving and sharing local family histories, visually and orally, and in helping bring people and our rich heritage together in hands-on, interactive ways.
