    I. G. FISHER DIES OF HEART TROUBLE
    FUNERAL IS TODAY
    Superintendent of Water Department Ill But Two Weeks; Was 62 Years Old.
      I. G. Fisher, superintendent of the Culver Water Department, passed away Monday afternoon at his home of heart trouble, from which he had been ill since January 18.

      He was 62 years of age. He was born in Whitley County, Indiana, October 6, 1870, where he spent his early life.

      About 40 years ago he moved to Culver, first being associated with Captain Crooks in operating boats on Lake Maxinkuckee.

      Later he was employed at the Culver Military Academy for a short period and then became associate with the town of Culver, first as town marshal and later in charge of the water department, in which capacity he served for 12 years. In connection with the latter office he also served as health officer for several years.

      Mr. Fisher was married to Mrs. Blanche M. Goldner on March 29, 1905, who survives him, as do two sons, Russell and Ray, both of Culver; two sisters, Mrs. Emma J. Mann of Lutz, Florida, and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of Peru, Ind.; and one brother, Elza Fisher of Chicago.

      Mr. Fisher took the town water works when it was an antiquated and unsatisfactory plant and through the years has built it into a modern and efficient system. He was rightly proud of the fact that his capable management had allowed the town to make improvements to the water works without cost to the taxpayer, and he lived to see his latest project completed and put into effect - the new water wells just five days before his death.

      Funeral services were held this afternoon in the Culver Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. W. B. Warriner officiating.

      Interment was in the Culver cemetery.

      The obituary is given on another page of this issue.

      He leaves to mourn his loss, two sisters, Mrs. Emma J. Mann of Lutz, Fla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of Peru, Ind., one brother, Elza Fisher of Chicago, Ill., the wife, Mrs. Blanche M. Fisher and sons, Russell Fisher and Ray Fisher and one grandson, Mark Irvin Fisher, all of Culver.

      "Sunset and evening star,
      And on clear call for me;
      And may there be no moaning of bar,
      When I put out to sea,
      But such a tide as moving seems asleep -
      Too full for sound or foam,
      When that which drew from out the boundless deep
      Turns again home.

      Twilight and evening bell,
      And after that the dark!
      And may there be no sadness of farewell
      When I embark;
      For, though from out our bourne of time and place
      The flood may bear me far,
      I hope to see my Pilot face to face
      When I have crossed the bar." -Tennyson.
