VIEW OF THE SMASHED-IN CAB OF THE OVERTURNED TRUCK Another view of the truck in which Clinton
Short, Jack Taylor, and Dave Burns were riding, showing the completeness of the damage to the truck.
The enclosed cab was so badly caved in that spectator wondered that the occupants were thrown from it
and that Short hadn't been killed while still at the wheel. The dirt and weeds picked up during the
skiding are still on the wheels, while the weeds in the foreground show the path of the careening truck. |
