ROBERT R. ADLER “Bob” Rochester, Indiana Age 74, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006 at his home.
Survivors include his wife: Karen; daughters: Jean (Tim) Rutledge of Griffith, Lynn (Tom) Kitzmiller
of Griffith; son: Robert J. (Patty) Adler of Highland; grandchildren: Emily, Julie and Michael Rutledge
of Griffith, Daniel & Brittany Adler of Highland, Mathew & Ashley Kitzmiller of Griffith; brothers:
Edward (Kate) Adler of AL, Joseph (Marlene) Adler of Crown Point, Richard (Val) Adler of Merrillville,
James (Sharon) Adler of Lowell; sisters: Ruth (Spud) Schwanke of Lowell, Edith Trevisol of WV; former
wife: Lorraine Adler of Griffith; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florian and Rose (Neudorf) Adler; sisters: Margaret Scheidt and
Florence Windbigler; brothers-in-law, Robert Scheidt and Robert Trevisol.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2006, 9:45 a.m. from Geisen Funeral Home, Crown Point and
at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with Fr. Selvaraj Selladurai officiating.
Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Crown Point.
Friends may call at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, IN on Monday, June 5, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. (EST)
and at Geisen Funeral Home, 109 N. East St., Crown Point on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 from 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.
Mr. Adler had worked for Clover Leaf Dairy in Hobart, IN, U.S. Steel – Gary Works, Redi-Froze, Gary, IN, had
owned and operated Adler’s Mini-Mart, Culver, IN and worked at the Pro Shop at the Round Barn Golf Club at
Mill Creek, Rochester, IN.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War serving with the #772 MP Battalion.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6919, Culver, IN, Culver Fire Dept., Teamster’s Union in
Gary, IN, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, IN.
His hobbies included golfing, camping and fishing.

Lorraine J. Adler age 84 of Griffith passed away on Sunday June 25, 2017 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Gary, IN to Joseph and Jennie Idzior on August 19, 1932.
Lorraine is survived by her devoted sister and best friend Charlotte Robinson whom she shared a home with for 29 years.
Also surviving are her loving children: Jean (Tim) Rutledge, Robert (Patricia) Adler and Lynn (Tom) Kitzmiller,
grandchildren: Emily (Mike) ODonnell, and their children Breanna and Natalie, Julie (Eric) Cordell and their children
Elaine, Evan and Eleanor, Michael Rutledge, Daniel Adler, Brittany (Steve) Dowd, Mathew Kitzmiller and Ashley Kitzmiller
who was her doting caregiver, sister-in-law Dorothy Idzior, cousins Rudy (Alberta) Doege and Scott (Yvonne) Doege, special
nieces Gail (Steve) Borders and Cindy (Joe) Appel, great niece and nephews Lori (Andy) Bonnell and their son Jaxson, Jim
(Abby) Borders, Chris (Trish) Appel and their children Riley and Lucas. Many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Idzior, brother-in-law James Robinson, former husband Robert Adler and
her life long friend Dorothy Willsey.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. 45th Avenue in
Griffith.
Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at White Funeral Home.
Lorraine was the best mom, grandma and aunt anyone could be blessed with. She was a kindhearted woman who was always there to
help anyone with anything. She will be deeply missed and leaves us with many cherished memories. The loves of her life were her
grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great nephew. Their visits would put a smile on her face and light up her day.
Lorraine retired from the Griffith Public School System.
She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith.
