    Services for Wilbur R. Rolen, 80, of Valparaiso, formerly of South Bend, who died Saturday in Miller's Merry Manor, Portage, Ind., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Engel Funeral Home, Portage. Burial will be at 3 p.m.

    Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

    Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Porter County Heart Fund.

    Mr. Rolen retired in 1964 from Indiana Bell Telephone Co., where he was a supervising test foreman in the plant department. He had worked for Indiana Bell for 38 years.

    He was born June 3, 1907, in Olney, Ill., and lived in South Bend before moving to Valparaiso 10 years ago.

    On Feb. 16, 1963 in South Bend, he married the former Lucy Boswell Mark, who survives.

    Also surviving are a daughter, Joyce Poppenger of Spring Hill, Fla.; two sons, Richard of Englewood, Colo., and Frank of Honor, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Ardith Brown of Portage; nine grandchidren; 16 greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Ahrea Kraus of Edwardsburg.

    Mr. Rolen was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Hoosier State Chapter 16.

    Mrs. Myra Rolen. Mrs. Myra V. Rolen, 929 S. 28th St., died at 3 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of several days,

    She was born in Mishawaka on Feb. 17, 1908, and and lived in the South Be awaka area all her life. >

    On Jan. 1, 1927, in South Bend she was married to Wilbur Rolen, who survives.>

    Also surviving are two sons, Frank of Michigan City, and Richard of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Pottenger, of Deerfield, Ill.; grandchildren; a brother, Arno McGowan, of Miami, Fla. and two sisters, Mrs. Zina Funston of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Bernice Teeter of South Bend.

    Friends may call in the Hollis Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when the body will be taken to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer for services there at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. John F. Kutz, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
