Lake Maxinkuckee Its Intrigue History & Genealogy Culver, Marshall, Indiana

A List Names of cottages - 1900

This list starts on the north side ; and also the maps are cropped sections of the big map it was not compiled and put into list form till 1919 when Evermann and Clark's landmark Lake Maxinkuckee: A Physical and Biological Survey was published. This 1920 book, at over 600 pages, remains one of the most highly-regarded biological surveys of a body of water in the U.S., and set the standard for such in-depth research. The book consists not only of crucial biological, environmental, and physical data pertaining to the lake, but also contains copious amounts of historical information about the people and community surrounding the lake.

There were two maps that went with this two volume book the survey map and the topographical map

None of these listings are eteched in stone - it is a probably listing from sources during this time period - and based on known facts of 1876, 1880, 1898, 1908, 1922 plats maps - everything may change if I can ever get the use of some of the abstracts or cottagers step forth with corrected data.
