Mark Schlabach is an author and is a national college football columnist for ESPN.com and is a regular guest on television
programs across the ESPN platform. Schlabach joined ESPN.com in July 2006 as a college football and college basketball
columnist.
Schlabach graduated from the University of Georgia (1991-1996). He is a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He spent nine
years at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, covering University of Georgia, the Southeastern Conference, the NFL, and NASCAR.
Later, Schlabach spent two years at the Washington Post covering college football, college basketball, and boxing. |
He is one of the most widely read columnists in the country, with millions visiting ESPN.com each month. His weekly “On the Mark”
column is one of ESPN.com’s most popular attractions and he is a regular contributor to ESPN television programming. He is the
author of four books and has also written for the Washington Post and the Atlanta Journal- Constitution.
Schlabach has covered college football for nearly two decades. Schlabach’s work has been honored multiple times by Associated
Press Sports Editors, and he is the author of six books about college football.
HE is the coauthor of the New York Times bestselling books, Happy, Happy, Happy, Si-cology 1, and The Duck Commander Family.
He is one of the most respected and popular college football columnists in the country .
He is a struggling golfer, proving you don’t have to be good at a sport to write and report ab
out it. When he isn’t covering the PGA TOUR or LIV Golf, he’s probably cutting grass or picking
up pecan tree limbs in Georgia
He and his wife, Heather, live with their three children in Madison, Georgia.
