E. T. Robinson Dies of Heart Failure Suddenly
Stricken while reading a paper Thursday evenig, Deceber 12, Elijah T. Robinson died within a few minutes of heart failure. He was 73 years of age.
The attack was wholly unexpected as Mr. Robinson had been able to work and was up town that afternoon. The family had lived in Culver for many
years and Mr. Robinson was well known. The community joins in expressing its sympathy to the breaved family over their sudden loss.
Mrs Robinson is survived by his widow and four children: Milton and Harold of South Bend; Mrs. Edgar Fenimore of Findlay, O. and Mrs. Edgar Shaw
of Culver.
Funeral services were held Sunda at 2:00 p.m. in the Grave Reformed church, Rev. C. A. Lang officiating.

Elijah Thornton Robinson was born in Jennings county, Indiana October 26m 1856 and suddenly passed to hois eternal rest on Thursday December 12,
1929, aged 73 years 1 month and 16 days.
On November 16, 1879 the deceased was united in marriage to Rebecca E. Voreis at Marmont, Indiana, now Culver by the Rev. Hiram Overmyer. The
this union there were born 3 sons and four daughtes, one son and two daughtes preceded the father if death.
About thirty years ago the deceased united with the Christain Church and remained a member of that church until his death. With the exception of 19
years spent at Rochester his whole married life was spent in and about Culver. He was a loyal companion, a good father and a firiedly neighbor.
There remained to miss this helpful fellowship the bereaved wide, two daughtes and two sons: Mrs Fern Fenimore, Findley, O.; Mrs Zetta Shaw, Culver;
Milton and Harold, of South Bend. One brother Horace, of Peru, one hald-brother Edward of Greensburg, other relatives and many friends.

Mrs Rebecca Elizabeth Robinson, Cuvler's oldest resident, alson celebrated her 99th birthday just last Thursday, died early
Sunday morning at the Landis Nursing Home in Argos where she had been a patient for three years
The eldest of the seven children of Mr. and Mrs. William Vories, Mrs. Robinson was born on a famr west of Culver on
Oct., 1860 and spent her entire life in this community.
She was a member of a pioneer family of Hollanders who came from Kentucky to Southern Indiana in the 19th century
and to the Culver community some years later.
At the age of 19 she was married to Elijah Robinson who farmed in Union Township and who preceded her in death in 1929.
She was a member of the Christain Church at Rochester.
Loved to Recite Poetry
Mrs RObinson could rember when culver consisted of one small store and about two or three houses. Her hobby was poetry and just before her death she
could still recite her two favorites, "No Sects in Heaven" and "She's Somebody's Mother Your Know". Her recitations gave the other nursing hom e
patients a real "lift".
On her recent birthday Mrs. RObinson said: "We Used to have a lot of sewing and quilting bees and I guess I did sewing for just about everybody in town.
It was a way to be neighborly and get some work done at the same time."
Three Children survive.
Surviving are two daughter: Mrs. Fern Fenimore and Mrs. Zetta SHaw, and a son, Harold RObinson, all of Culver. There are 9 grandchildren, 12
great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Grace United Church oc Christ with Rev. Dr. Meredith Sprunger of Fort Wayne and Rev. Maynard
