Olin Gandy, a job printer of the Plymouth Democrate office, had the narrowest escape of any boarder at the Parker House, which burned at an early hour on Wednesday morning last week. He was sleeping in the thirs story of the building, and was awakened from his slumbers by a vold bath from the nozzle of the hose. It is saind that he gave one warwhoop that would have frightened a whole army of Indiana, pulled on his trousers wrong side before, seized his umbrella and rushing to a window of the room made a parachute jup to the street, leaving a waterbuty watch and other valuable possessions behind to be consumed by the angry flames. - - Bremen Inquirer (Indiana) Apr 6, 1894
