Here Sunday Night

Richard Burkett, age 72, passed away at his home Sunday night after an illness of three months

He was born near Culver, operated Chadwick Hotel for a number of years and for the past 23 years has resided in South Bend and Mishawaka.

He was employed by Oliver Farm Equipment for 20 years, retiring one year ago when he returned to culver to make his home.

Surviving are the widow, Orpha; five daughter: Mrs Mragaret Fuller, of Elkhart, Mrs. Leora Knappen of Mishawaka, Mrs. Catherine Bradfield of Culver, Mary and Linda, both at home; four sons: Clifford of Vermillion, Ohio; Leroy of Pontiac, Mich.; Pvt.Leo and Lt. Jack both over seas.; four grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Carrie Baird of Mishawak, Mrs Maude JOseph of South Bend, Mrs Evanna Asper of Culver and Mrs. Clara Ulery of Montana; one brother Ulyssess Burket of Culver.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Culver Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph M. Jones fficiating. Burial will be at the Culver cemetery
