He hopes there will be plenty of ice this year.

He has made arrangements to pack a large quanity and will employe 300 men on his "ice farm" at Maxinkuckee.
,br> He takes the following recod from his books: Winter of 1872-3 began on December 1, with plenty of snow and cold

Winter of 1873-4 set in Novemeber 15 and was moderate; ice only formed eight inches thick.

Winter of 1874-5 set in Novemeber 10; plenty of snow and very cold

Winter of 1875-6 was open and mild anout three weeks in January; ice formed about eight inches.

1876-7 commenceing November 28; heavy snows and cold; plenty of ice

1877-8 was open and only six inches of ice formed

1878-9 Set in Decemeber 1; plenty of sow; very cold; plenty of ice

1879-80 was open no ice to amount to anything

1880-81 was very cold all winterp plenty of ice

1882-83 was cold; plenty of snow and ice.

1883-84 was very cold; plenty of ice and snow;

1884-85 was very coldp plenty of ice and snow

1885-86 commenced early with plenty of snow and ice

1886-7 commenced eatly with plenty of snow and ice

1887-8 set in Decemeber 15; plent of snow and ice until March
