A New Firm Organized to Deal in the Article

The local office of the Maxinkukcee Ice Company refuses to confirm the statement that the manufacture of ice would ceas in South Bend this year.

When asked if there was any truth in the statement made several days ago the local management expressed both surprise and ignorance on the subject and stated that it had heard nothing of any such arrangement.

The management, however confirmed that report that Messers Beck and Hollingsworth had severed their connection with the Madinkuckee compant and would during the present year start another company.

It is thought that the new company will deal solely in lake ice and will not attempt to manufacture the article. South Bend Tribune (Indiana)

The Co-operative company has been woring on the deal for some times.

The Maxinkuckee concern has not been making artifical ice, but has been supplying patrions with the product secured from Lake Maxinkuckee and from the Notre Dame laes under lease by the Co-operative company.
