Culver — Raymond E. Kline, 92, of Culver , and Fort Pierce, Fla., passed away Dec. 26, 2009, at Clarkston Specialty Healthcare, Clarkston, Mich., where he had been a patient for the last month.

Raymond was born Dec. 3, 1917, in Culver , to Edgar and Nellie Kline. He graduated from Culver High School and attended Moody Bible Institute.

On March 24, 1940, he married Daralys J. Leland in Culver .

Raymond opened Kline’s TV and Appliance store on June 18, 1952, and was in business for approximately 40 years. Ray belonged to the Gideons, providing him exciting opportunities to distribute Bibles in numerous countries, including some “iron-curtain” countries.

He was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church in Plymouth, for many years and later attended Antioch Baptist Church in Rochester.

Ray and Daralys enjoyed traveling all over the world together, their journeys taking them to more than 60 countries. For the last five years, Ray shared his time with son Tim and family in Indiana and daughter Carol and family in Michigan.

Raymond is survived by son: Tim (Cindy) Kline of Peru; daughter: Carol (Steven) Holtzclaw of Oxford, Mich.; daughter-in-law: Christine Kline of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Matthew Kline, Camille Brugh, Amber Terry, Arielle Adenew, Avin Kline, Kris Holtzclaw, Kristen Brody; and great grandchildren: Steven, Erik and Audrey Brody and Elizabeth and Jacob Holtzclaw.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Daralys; son, Paul Kline; and sister, Josephine Powell.

Visitation with the family will take place at Odom Funeral Home, Culver , Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., with funeral at 2 p.m. Graveside service to follow for the family at Washington Cemetery, Culver .
