    1962 - Aug. 29 - Lake Maxinkuckee Association To Meet August 31
    The annual meeting of the Lake Maxinkuckee Association, Inc., will be held in the downstairs lounge of the State Exchange Bank, Friday evening, Aug. 3 at 7:45 p.m.

    All members of the Association are urged to attend this meeting. Notices have been mailed to members from the office of the Secretary, Don G. Trone.

    A report of the activities of the Association during the past year will be given, with various committee chairmen reviewing the accomplishments of their committees. Officers James R. Cox and Raymond "Doc" Ives will also give detailed reports of their work during the season. Sheriff Jerry Greenlee is expected to attend and offer comments and suggestions on the handling of traffic on the roads and on the lake.

    The secretary-treasurer will submit a financial report of income and disbursements for the current year.

    Also the annual election of officers and directors will be held. Association president Robert J . Discher and secretary Don G. Trone report that an open discussion of the recent tax appraisals and proposed rates will be led by Dr. Charles Crowe and others.

    It is important that the Association have a good attendance at this meeting.

1963 - May 8 –Lake Association Purchases New Patrol Boat
    Lake Maxinkuckee will be patroled this summer by a new patrol boat, which was recently purchased by the Lake Maxinkuckee Association, Inc. The new boat is a Chris-Craft 18-foot Sea Skiff. It is equipped with a 185 h.p. engine with a top speed of 38 m.p.h. The craft is an all-weather boat

    The boat will be equipped with a 3-way radio, 2 fire extinguishers, life buoys, first-aid kits, tow ropes, boat hooks, extra gas cans, life saving equipment, boarding ladder, red light and siren

    The patrol boat will be manned by Raymond J. Ives, who will have full police powers as a deputy sheriff. The officer and patrol boat will go on full-time duty on Memorial Day, May 30

    The Maxinkuckee Lake Association Inc. will be featured in the South Bend Tribune Sunday Magazine section later on in the summer season. The feature will cover the organization of the Association, its purposes, and activities . The story will contain several photos of the lake area and Culver

1968 Jun 13 - Lake Association Purchases New Patrol Car-
    The Lake Maxinkuckee Association, through the officers and directors, wishes to take this opportunity to welcome all their members and friends back to the lake for another summer of fun and relaxation.

    For your safety and protection, they have purchased a new patrol car complete with two-way radio, citizens band radio, flasher lights, and a siren. They are now able to communicate with the Sheriff's department in Plymouth, the patrol boat, and Jack's taxi in case of emergencies.

    The officer in charge is Dave Ulrich.


    On the water, patrol boat is back for another summer completely refinished and equipped for any emergency. Jim Rinesmith is the officer in charge.


    In addition to satety, they are chartered to perform all services in connection with sanitation. Contamination of rivers and lakes is a national scandal, ^lease do not take the attitude that it cannot happen here. They solicit your co-operation in helping keep this lake clean.

    The officers and directors, of the Lake Maxinkuckee Association wish to welcome their members and friends back to the the most beautiful lake in Indiana. For the safety, protection and pleasure of a l l the people who use and live around Lake Maxinkuckee, the Association provides a high speed boat and patrol car, as well as the salaries of the two deputy sheriffs who operate them. The car and beat are equipped with two way radio, citizens band radio, flasher light and siren. They can communicate with the sherrif's department in Plymouth as well as with each, ether. In an emergency c call Jack's Taxi office in Culver, (842-3366); Sheriffs Office in Plymouth (1-936-3187); or for off duty periods call (842-3653). The 1968 patrol car is operated by Mike Jordan while his brother, Lee Jordan is the These deputy sherifs, in addition to their safety and protective duties are responsible for maintaining the utmost sanitation conditions within and from without the lake. The officers of the Association respectfully request everyone to cooperate in order to keep our lake clean. The 1969 officers of the Association are: President, James E. Rocap.
