George F. Roby, 87, 14262 Indiana 110, passed away at 11:42 a.m. Sunday at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1924, in Anderson, the son of Frank S. and Elizabeth (Laycock) Roby.

Mr. Roby had been a postal service employee for the United States Postal Service for over 25 years and had owned Roby Lumber Co. in Culver . He was a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his two sons, Stephen Roby, Culver , and Bruce Roby, Marshall, Minn.; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Theodore, James, Herb, Ralph and Wilbur Roby; and one granddaughter.

No services will be observed. Burial is in the Leiters Ford Cemetery, Leiters Ford. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.
