Ann Kaegi Button, 81, Kokomo, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital in 
Kokomo.
  
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Christian Church, 
505 W. Mulberry St., with Pastor Jon Tice officiating. 

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 
8 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, 
and one hour preceding the service on Saturday at the church.
 
Memorial contributions may be made in Annís memory to First Congregational Christian 
Church.

Ann Kaegi Button, 81, Kokomo, entered into heaven Wednesday, May 6, 2015, with family by her side at St. Joseph Hospital. Annís parents, Edward A. Kaegi and Myrl B. Kaegi, welcomed her into the world Jan. 23, 1934, in Anderson. After Myrlís death in 1972, Edward later married Ruth Goodman.
Ann graduated from Kokomo High School in 1952. She earned her B.S. degree in education from Indiana University in 1956 and was an active life-long member in the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Ann and Don P. Button were married June 30, 1956 at the Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Ann was a homemaker, and dedicated much of her life to service. She was active in the First Congregational Christian Church, Symposium, P.E.O. Chapter R, Tri-Kappa, President of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, and President of Hospital Cheer Guild. Ann was known for her generosity. She was a warm, welcoming lady who never met a stranger. She could light up the room with her smile. She had a passion and love of flowers, gardening, weeding, birds, and traveling. She especially enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter. Ann is survived by her husband, Don P. Button; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Ballew (Charles), Indianapolis; grandchildren, Anna, Colin, and Parker; great-granddaughter, Annemarie; sister, Susan Kaegi Jones (Eric), Rockville, Maryland; stepbrother, Jack V. Goodman (Olga), California; brother-in-law, the Rev. Dr. John D. Button (Meredith), Florida; nephews, Eric Jones (Noriko), and Scott Button (Christina); niece, Kristen Thibodeau (David); and extended family. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Christian Church, 505 W. Mulberry St., Kokomo, with Pastor John Tice officiating assisted by the Rev. Dr. John D. Button. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W.
