Delbert Jordan & Mabel (white) Jordan  

Delbert JORDAN, 74, Culver , a lifelong resident of the Culver communities, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at his home following an illness of one year.

He was owner of the Lakeview tavern in Culver until his retirement in 1951.

Born Feb. 16, 1891 in Hammond, he was the son of Oliver and Ida SHANKS JORDAN. His first marriage was in 1913 to Jennie E. CALHOUN who died in 1955. He was married in 1962 to Mable WHITE, who survives with three nieces.

Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Culver Grace United Church of Christ with the pastor, the Rev. Harold HOLMAN, officiating. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may call at the Easterday-Bonine funeral home after 7 p.m. today. - Friday, May 28, 1965 Rochester Sentinel.

Funeral Services Held Sunday For Delbert Jordan

Delbert Jordan, 74, of 604 S. Main St., Culver , died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at his residence. He had been in poor health for the past year.

Mr. Jordan was born Feb. 16, 1891, at Hammond to Oliver and Ida (Shanks) Jordan and had lived in the Culver and Delong communities nearly all of his life.

He was the owner of the Lakeview Tavern in Culver prior to his retirement in 1951.

He was married in 1913 to Jennie Calhoun who preceded him in death in 19-55. He was married in 1962 to Mable White who survives. Surviving with the widow are three nieces.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at t h e Culver Grace United Church of Christ with the pastor, Rev. Harold Hohman,officiating. Burial was in the Culver Masonic Cemetery. - THURSDAY, JUNE 3, 1965

MABEL WHITE JORDAN Mrs. Mabel A. White Jordan, 82. of 612 South Main Street, Culver. passed away at 8:30 a.m. Friday. June 28. 1974 at Parkview Hospital, Plymouth, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Jordan was born July 9, 1891 in Marshall County to Charles and Lillian (Kaley) Copp. A lifelong resident of the Culver area , she was a retired librarian of the Culver Public Library. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Culver, the Knights of Pythias Auxiliary, a charter member of the Twin Lakes Home Demonstration Club. and a member of the CulverHome Demonstration Club. She also belonged to the Loyal Women's Class and the Women's Guild of Grace Church .

She was married April 25, 1916 to Charles White. who died in 1955. She then married Delbert Jordan on March 3. 1962. He preceded her in death in 1965.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Florence White of Plymouth, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were conducted at Grace United Church of Christ at 2:00p.m. Sunday. June 30th, with Rev. John H. Krueger, pastor officiating.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

The Bonine Funeral Home, Culver, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials to Culver Grace United Church of Christ will be accepted - July 11 1974
