Dr. John C. Glackman  



Dr. John C. GLACKMAN, Rochester's newest doctor, was notified yesterday afternoon that his son, Michael [GLACKMAN], 12, was killed in Denver, Colorado, when the scooter on which he and another youth were riding was struck by a truck.

Dr. Glackman and his daughter, Jacqueline, left shortly afterwards for Chicago where they caught a plane for Denver. The body may be returned here for burial.

Michael, Mrs. GLACKMAN, and another daughter, Sarah [GLACKMAN], were remaining in Denver until family property could be sold. Following the settlement, they were to move into the former home of James ZIMMERMAN, which Dr. Glackman recently purchased.

Physician and surgeon, Dr. Glackman began practice at 716 1/2 Main street the first of this month. He and Jacqueline were living in the apartment in the rear of the office temporarily. - Rochester Sentinel Wednesday, March 9, 1949




Funeral services for Michael GLACKMAN, 12, son of Dr. John C. GLACKMAN, who started practice here March 1, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Horan funeral home in Denver, Colo. Burial will also be in Denver.

The family plans to move into the former home of James ZIMMERMAN, which they recently purchased. Dr. John C. Glackman, 772 West Shore Drive resident, is among the 35 Hoosier physicians and surgeons to be honored today for 56 years of practice in medicine. Ceremonies will take place at the annual meeting of the Indiana State Medical Association in Indianapolis. - October 27, 1954 -
