    Leander R. Easterday, son of Benjamin and Amanda Shupp Easterday, was born in Ohio near Bucyrus December 5, 1873. He passed away at Colorado General Hospital, Denver, Colorado, Friday, December 1, 1950, after an illness of three months. His age was 76 years, 11 months and 26 days.

    When a small child he moved with his parents to Indiana and they made their home near Culver. Most of his life has been spent in this community where he worked at the car penter trade.

    He was united in marriage to Miss Laura Garn who preceded him in death July 16, 1931. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fern Young, Culver; three sons, Russell of Culver, Harold of Denver, Colo., and Eldon of Los Angeles, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Mikesell of Culver; one brother, Frank, of Hammond; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchild

      Native Of Culver Dies - Eldon Garn Easterday, age 60, of San Rafael, Clif. died Wednesday morning in a hospital in San Rafael after an extended illness.

      The son of the late Lee and Laura Garn Easterday, he was born in Culver on July 1, 1908 and spent his early life here. For the past 35 years he has resided in Colorado and California.

      Surviving are his widow, Audre; one son, Eldon Jr. of California; 1 step-son of California; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Russell L. Easterday of Culver and Harold Eatserday of Littleton, Colo.

      Also surviving are two aunts. Miss Edna Garn of Culver and Mrs. Florence Pinkerton of Mt. Etna; and one uncle, Glenn Garn of Grand Rapids, Mich.

      Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Keaton's Mortuary, 1022 East St., San Rafael, Calif, with interment at Mt. Tamalpias Cemetery. - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 1968 Citizen
