The
Maxinkuckee FIsh and Game Club of Culver, will be the hosts to the county
chairman of the second district of of the Indiana Conservation Council , Inc. this
Wednesday evening, Sept 12, at 8 p.m. at the home of Ralph Neidlinger, on highway 17.
CHanuncey Mollenhour, of Mentone, district chairman, will preside ooover the meeting.
COunties represented by the second district are Marshall, Starker, Jasper, Pulaski and
Koscuisko.
The district meeting is being held prior to the fall state meeting of the Indiana
Conservation council, Inc., which will be hheld Saturday and sunday, Sept 15-16
at McCLure Lake.
At the district meeting, the proposed legislation, which will be presented at the
INdiana General Assembly wil be discussed and either rejcted or approved.
The Indiana Department of Conservation is sponsoring many of the proposed bills
and others byu the Conservation Council.
The results will be taken by the district chairman to the state meeting where all
14 districts will pass final acceptance or rejection of the proposed legislation.
However, this does not mean the deapartment will accept the decision of the
state conservastion council.
At the regular meeting of the Maxinkuckee Fish and Game CLub on Wednesday
evening, Sept 5, the club voted on the proposed legislation.
The results will be voted on at the district meeting.
Other problems voted on concerned water problems at the hatchery. It was
agreed that a motor driven pump was needed to help maintain the proper water
level in the fish ponds/
