"Ah, WIlderness" Current Feature At Playhouse
After a successful opening week at the Maxinkuckee PLayhouse, the company has opened its second
profuction, "Ah Wildersness", which will run all this week up to and including Sunday.
The cast is a large one using all the members of the Playhouse and two Culver people, Art Hughes will
play the role of the salesman, and Dick Simons will be seen in the part of Wint.
For those who see "Ah Wilderness" (and everyone should, its that good) a new experieince will be in
store. Since the play takes all the actors and actesses of the Playhouse, everyone must double up on
some other job.
Therefore, during intermissions the audience may recognize an actor whom they had seen on the
stage before, now selling cokes at the snack bar, or parking cars in the parking lot. Butr that is all part
of the fun of a summer theater, where the audience gets as much fun out of talkng to the actors
during intermission as they so seeing them on the stage in a play
The play wond for the author, Eugene O'Neill, the acclaim of the Broadway critics and no one but
George M. COhan appeared in the original production. For an evening of fun, you don't want to miss
this second play of the Playhouse's season, "Ah Wilderness".
