Maxinkuckee Playhouse "Laura"  



POpular Mystery Beinf Staged At Playhouse

Murder and mystery are in store for the audience when the curtain rises tonight on "Laura", the newset production of the Maxinkuckee Playhouse.

The intriguing story of Laura Hunt and how she was murdered will pay thorugh SUnday on the Playhouse stage on the East Shore Lane.

The cast of nine has outdone itself in preparing a pay whihc will keep the audience on the edge of their seat. A completely modern apartment has been built for the stage, complete with gray, paneling, sectional furniture, and large airy windows. Yo add to the production, special music had been recorded, and of course the haunting music from the film version of "Laura" will also be used. ANd, just as in the film, a portrait of Laura has been painted especially for this play.

With the exception of DIck Simons, who plays Mark McPerson, the entire cast is from the Playhouse. The players include Mary Franics Rank, Paul Laumann, Herb Johnson, Ardyth Lharam, Burth lane, Nancy Todd and JIm Hoeffler. ALl the players have been seen in other Playhouse prductionswith the exception of Jum Hoeffler.

Beginning this week, the PLayhouse ticket price will change. All nights, Tuesday through Sunday, are no $1.32, tax included. Tickets for "Laura" ar still on sale at Oberlin's Electric Store in Culver and at Ames Drug Store in Argos. All seats are reserved., and curtain time is k:30 - 12 Jul 1950 Citizen
